All items sold by Tokyo Auto Parts Inc are authentic Japanese Domestic Market parts and all engines/transmissions are high quality USED parts. Because these components are used, they will show signs of use. But we strive to supply our customers with only the highest quality JDM components and all engines are thoroughly inspected to ensure that failures are few and far between. The engines and transmissions are inspected before shipment from our warehouse in Japan, inspected and tested by our knowledgeable staff upon arrival at the warehouse in Toronto and inspected again before being shipped to the customer. All engines sold by Tokyo Auto Parts Inc are compression tested to verify proper internal conditions. Pictures and compression test results of the engine can be supplied to potential customers upon request. Unfortunately due the nature of dealing in USED parts, Tokyo Auto Parts Inc cannot warrant against any cosmetic defects found on the parts such as starches, dents or blemishes parts. Many parts subject to wear that must be regularly replaced do not include a warranty. Some items available for sale through Tokyo Auto Parts Inc may not be legal for street use; it is the customer’s responsibility to insure that any component(s) he/she installs on their vehicle complies with the legislation in their area. Due to the fact that the Japanese Domestic Market parts sold by Tokyo Auto Parts Inc were intended for use in Japan, some components such as ECU’s (Electronic Computer Units), distributors, and sensors may not work with the North American counterparts, it is the responsibility of the customer to research and confirm that the component he/she is purchasing will work for their application. Tokyo Auto Parts Inc can not be held responsible if the component(s) sold does not work due to this.

Engine Warranty

All engines sold by Tokyo Auto Parts Inc are of the highest quality, but due to the engines being “used”, very rarely a failure occur, this is why Tokyo Auto Parts Inc supplies all its engines with a 30 day start up warranty, unless otherwise specified. The provided warranty allows the customer 30 days to install and verify that the engine works as intended. The warranty does not cover any failure after the install and verification, due to the fact that the later failure could be the cause of neglect or improper maintenance. The warranty does not cover any defective/broken sensors or accessories on the engine or the transmission.

Conditions of Engine Warranty

All engines purchased from Tokyo Auto Parts Inc must be installed by a licensed mechanic in order to maintain warranty status. Proof of installation in the form of a work order/invoice showing that the job was performed by a licensed mechanic and that the engine was defective upon installation is required upon any warranty claim.

Engines purchased from Tokyo Auto Parts Inc must have a new timing belt and water pump installed by a licensed mechanic and proof of the installation of these parts must be supplied in order to retain warranty status.

Engine failure that is the result of improper installation, disregard of installation of new timing belt and water pump, improper engine management, or improper use is not covered, which is up to the discretion of Tokyo Auto Parts Inc .

Performance Parts

Some performance parts carry a limited life time warranty and will be stated in the products description, if not stated in the products description the part does not carry any warranty.

Warranty for all other Parts and Components sold by Tokyo Auto Parts Inc. All other parts and components carry no warranty unless specifically stated.
